Competitive scoring of impact cases for the next REF will be driven by the ability to clearly articulate and substantiate impact claims with evidence. Both aspects can be enabled by using theories of change, targeted training and expert support.

This project would be delivered under the leadership of Professors Mark Reed and Eric Jensen, and impact expert Saskia Gent, with support from the wider Institute for Methods Innovation (IMI) research and evaluation team. IMI has previously delivered this kind of institutional impact evaluation under the leadership of Professors Reed and Jensen.
