Senior Education Consultant

Dr. Rodrigo develops and delivers research-driven teaching and training materials for IMI’s academic and professional audiences.

Dr. Rodrigo is a specialist in curriculum development, inclusive learning design and academic capacity building. With over two decades of international experience, she contributes to the Institute for Methods Innovation’s (IMI) mission through educational consultancy, online course design and pedagogical enhancement for professional learners. She has a PhD in Educational Management from the Philippine Christian University, an M.Ed. in Adult Education from the Open University Malaysia, and a B.S.Ed. in English and Literature from La Salle University, Philippines.

Expertise and experience

Dr. Rodrigo designs and improves learning programs with a particular focus on practice-oriented and inclusive education. At IMI, she developed the “Teaching Essentials for Practitioners” course and has supported the implementation of universal design principles in the organization’s learning management systems​.

Her background spans higher education institutions in Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia and Vietnam, where she has taught undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses in teaching, curriculum design, education technology and cross-cultural communication.

As a senior academic, Dr. Rodrigo has served in program director and academic manager roles, leading curriculum innovation, instructional design and educator development initiatives. She has also contributed as a dissertation adviser and viva voce panel member in doctoral education. Her teaching combines content expertise in language, business communication, and applied pedagogy with a strong commitment to digital learning and internationalization.

Publications

Dr. Rodrigo’s publications span peer-reviewed journals and international conference proceedings, with a focus on hybrid learning, online pedagogy, and educator motivation. Her work has been published in several Scopus-indexed journals, including the Kasetsart Journal of Social Sciences, Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences Studies (HASSS) of Silpakorn University (Thailand), and Open Research Europe. She has contributed to regional conferences on education and social sciences, addressing topics such as ethical issues in digital learning, challenges faced by non-native English-speaking teachers, and vlogging as a pedagogical tool.
